Bible Memory Quest (“the App”) is operated by Crossmap. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App.
The App is designed for children aged 4–12 and their parents and teachers. We take privacy seriously, especially when it comes to children's data.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information (Optional)
If you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Display name
- Profile information (nickname, avatar)
Guest users can use the App without creating an account.
2.2 Audio Recordings
When you use the voice recognition feature, the App records your voice to transcribe what you say. This audio is:
- Sent over an encrypted connection to Groq (groq.com) for transcription
- Immediately deleted after transcription is complete
- Never stored on our servers
- Never used for training AI models
2.3 Usage Data
We collect basic usage data to provide and improve the App:
- Learning progress (verses practiced, scores)
- App session data

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
The App is intended for use by children under the supervision of a parent or teacher.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.
- Audio recordings from children are processed solely for voice recognition and are immediately deleted after transcription.
- Parents may request deletion of their child's account and associated data by contacting us.
5. Third-Party Services
Groq (Audio Transcription)
We use Groq's Whisper API to transcribe audio recordings. Audio data is transmitted securely and deleted immediately after transcription.
Supabase (Database & Authentication)
User account data and learning progress are stored using Supabase.
Google & Apple Sign-In (Optional)
If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, those services handle authentication. We receive only basic profile information (name, email).
6. Data Retention

7. Data Security
All data is transmitted using industry-standard TLS encryption. Audio recordings are never stored beyond the time required for transcription (typically under 2 seconds).

- Request access to your personal data
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Delete your account within the App
